General information
At this time, the BibelCenter uses the well known "bulletin board" software phpbb3 for its forums. All forums can be reached via one platform and can be accessed from there.
Registration to forums
The registration to the forums is done via a link on the BibelCenter forum main page. During the registration, each user fills in a number of data and selects a username and password, which are used for login. For the registration, an activation mechanism via e-mail is used to protect the forums against "spam".
The BibelCenter forum overview lists all available forums, and you can reach the respective forums by clicking on the forum name. Some forums may be designated for a specific group of interested users and are perhaps not available until after a user has become part of that group.
Participation in forums
Only registered users can actively participate and write in the forums. At first, a user logs in, then navigates to the forum and then all contributions to the forum can be viewed in a list and accessed from there. By clicking on a topic, you then view the messages in this thread. Messages are sorted chronologically, but you can arrange a different order according to different criteria.
Depending on the level one is on, it is possible to open a new topic, or write a new message, or reply to an existing message. When replying to messages, it is possible to quote passages from the original message.
It is desired that participants sign their messages with their realname, or first name; the exchange and discussion is between real persons, not between some anonymous "nick"-robots.

Unsubscribing from forums
It is possible at any time to unsubscribe from the forums. A user can unsubscribe him-/herself or else contact a moderator to do it for them
